APPLE Docking Patent for Multi-Orientation reflects to PED2
THOUGHT OUT is now aware of a patent application submitted from APPLE today referencing “Methods and apparatuses for docking a portable electronic device that has a planar like configuration and that operates in multiple orientations”.
Interesting how we have a vertical and horizontal device dock already in production with forward looking designs that increase this functionality. We have been on this forefront before October 2005, and not only do we have a current solution for wide screen and vertical positioning, we have responded in design procedures for improving and introducing upcoming product(s) as well.
