MagStay PRO Widget Finding a Niche Crowd

To the sucsess of the MagStay Pro finding its niche crowd, wire.com posted their angle of this product and how it is not for everyone but for some. Finding these niche groups is part of our business plan:

. . . Style and function are always at the forefront; therefore, products with not as broad a range are given the same energy and effort as those that are produced in high quantities. When a product does something simple and useful for a select few, but performs well, it is greatly appreciated. While we realize that certain merchandise may have a smaller focus, all product development is given equal attention. Our simplistic, yet elegant products are designed with a specific goal in mind, leaving no detail too small for any consumer. . .

We understand this product may not be for you, but is for some. How do you feel about a company that is willing to weed through the ridicule of product development when it is not understood for many, but is useful for a niche group. Leave your comments

I’d like to know if there will be a MagStay for the new macbooks, with the ethernet connection beside it.

What a great idea - now my mac can be as vulnerable as the old macs and todays pc laptops.

Now instead of the cord disconnecting my laptop can be pulled to the ground when someone carelessly catches my power cord…

    Loring,

Did you even read the post?

But thank you anyway for recognition with leaving a comment.

Hey, i like this idea, i have the macbook with an ethernet port, now most ethernet cords don’t lock in the macbooks lock as pretty crap, but at the same time i use ethernet alot at home,

if you did manage to mag a magstay that locked into the ethernet port, would you also be able to supply me with an ethernet connection?

possibly making the ethernet part of your device active and having a small cable come from the back of it, with another ethernet female plug?

  7. Mike Talmadge - THOUGHT OUT Says:

    AJ,

At this time we do not have plans for such products, but we will take your note into consideration.

Why so defensive? If you’re making money on it, you can afford to just smile at the naysayers. If you’re not making money on it, you can just quietly drop it. Either way, why encourage a public debate?
