    Well, having been a long time user of the original Stabile 1.0, I was suprised to read that the new one is lighter. But trust me on this, this is not a problem... the 2.0 is every bit as rock steady. I do wish they matched better, though! The new rubber iPad holders are probably an improvement, as they cover more surface area, but now my stands look different from the back, the usual view I have entering the room. The first version was far more elegant with the rubber pads hidden. And what's that little hole drilled into the top back of the base? It looks like I just cheaped out and declined to purchase an optional accessory. But, it's still the VERY BEST iPad stand you can buy. Oh, well.

    WISH I HAD FOUND THIS MOST FUNCTIONAL AND ATTRACTIVE STAND MONTHS AGO! DELIVERY FROM THEIR OFFICE IN THE NORTHEAST WAS A QUICK 3 DAYS TO FLORIDA! ARRIVED IN PREFECT CONDITION, AND PACKAGED AS THOUGH IT WAS THE HOPE DIAMOND. IT QUITE SIMPLY HAS EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS, AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT WITHOUT RESERVATION. IT ELEVATES THE IPAD TO A MOST COMFORTABLE AND ERGONOMIC LEVEL, AND DOES NOT MOVE AT ALL, WHILE COMPOSING EMAILS, ETC. THE DESIGN IS MOST ATTRACTIVE AND SHOULD BE ON DISPLAY IN THE GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM.

    Superb manufacturing and stability

    I've only had mine for a couple of weeks, but the 'stable' does just that. Almost like the old weebles - they wobble but don't fall down... the stand is rock solid and doesn't move. My iPad 2 is very comfortable and I'm thrilled to have it up off the desk. The stand is stylish (I bought black) and looks great next to my iMac. I love being able to slide my wireless keyboard underneath as well when not in use. Perfect design. Well worth every penny. Only negative (and I haven't even talked to support about it yet) is that one of the base pads has moved. My office is very warm in the summer and I don't know if it is a glue issue due to the heat or something else. So far it hasn't fallen off... I'm sure they'd send me another if I asked. *NOTE FROM THOUGHT OUT STAFF* Customer was well within their manufacturing warranty time-frame therefore a replacement has been sent to them. During extreme temperatures we're currently experiencing, the adhesion can be weakened during shipping.

    Rock Solid, Best Quality, and OUTSTANDING customer service

    Bottom line is this: if you need a solid - won't tip over - quality made iPad stand, look no further and don't balk at the price. This holder has been to a multitude of trade shows and events and suffered some abuse and doesn't show it. The only thing that has gone wrong is somebody managed to rip off one of the 'pads'. I wrote to Thoughtout.biz and quickly got a response with a direct link to the parts. Of course I thought "and how much am I going to pay for shipping" only to be pleasantly surprised by the low cost of postal service option. So, GREAT customer service not only in the quick email response but by providing cost effective spare parts to support their customers.

    Perfect for the Motorola Xoom

    This rock solid stand may have been designed with the iPad in mind, but the Motorola Xoom Android tablet also fits it perfectly, with no part of the frame extending beyond the Xoom in either portrait or landscape mode. The rubber pads grip it firmly. Nice job!
